Te Murumāra's homework asked how you would say in Māori that you are from Taupo, and that your grandfather is from Tāneatua.  

The correct translation for 'The family washed and ate' is 'Ka horoi,   , ka kai te whänau.

The correct translation for 'The dog barked and the baby cried' is 'Ka au te kurī, ā, ka tangi te   .'

The correct Māori translation for 'This drink is sweet and this drink is sour' is 'He reka tēnei inu, ä,   tēnā inu.

The correct Māori translation for 'This is a good movie and that’s not a good movie' is 'He pai tēnei   , ā, he koretake tēnā kiriata.
