Let's revisit exercises to practice asking and responding to the question 'how many' when referring to people. Kia kaha e hoa mā!

Which word is used to ask 'How many?' when referring to people?  

You would ask 'How many older siblings do you have?' by asking '   ō tuākana?'

How would you respond to the question above and say you have two older siblings, '   aku tuākana'.

How would you ask 'How many children do you have?' '   ō tamariki?'

How would you respond to the question above and say you have 5 children? '   aku tamariki.'

The word   is used when referring to many people.

Raimona has two older brothers, he would say this in Māori by saying, 'Tokorua aku   '.

How would Maruia say she has only one older sister?   taku tuakana.

Mahina would say that she has ten friends by saying, '   aku hoa.'
