So far we've learnt how to say hi using someone's name, and how to say hi with special terms of address. Today we'll cover how to address more than one person.

What's the correct way to ask a group of friends how they are, 'Kei te pēhea koutou, e hoa   '

And how would you ask one friend how he/she is, 'Kei te pēhea   , e hoa'

What about greeting a group of girls, 'Tēnā   , e hine mā'

Saying hello to one boy, 'Tēnā koe, e   '

Greeting a group of children, 'Tēnā koutou, tamariki   '

How would you ask one person how he/she is? 'Kei te   koe?'

If you wanted to personalise the greeting and ask 'How are you mate?' then you would ask, 'Kei te pēhea koe, e   '

When you've been asked how you are and you want to say 'I'm exhausted' you would say, 'kua pau te   '

When you've been asked how you are and you want to say 'I'm hungry' you would respond with, 'kei te   '

When you've been asked how you are and you want to say 'I'm tired' you would say, 'kei te   '

When you've been asked how you are and you want to say 'good' you would respond by saying, 'kei te   '

When you've been asked how you are and you want to say 'I am good' you would respond by saying, 'kei te pai   '

What word is used as a general rule of thumb to include others in a sentence. This word is usually placed after the term of address. Tēnā koutou, e hine   .
